Negative Outcomes

Despite all of our best intentions and comprehensive support systems, things will still go wrong for some students and they will present behaviours for us to respond to.

It is important when dealing with students to try to seperate the behaviour from the student and be objective with our responses.

It is all too easy to label students "naughty" and have a pre-conceived idea of how they will get
on in our lesson, but if we seem to get the same behaviours over again, then perhaps it is time to try something different.

This is where staff might choose to work with support staff to look for a better pathway through that lesson with the ultimate aim of better behaviour for longer periods of time
